CEPI primary energy consumption 1991-2022

A total of 1.1 million terajoules (TJ) of primary energy was consumed by Confederation of European Paper Industries' (CEPI) members in 2022. Of this total, over 62 percent was consumed from biomass sources. CEPI's use of coal has fallen considerably since 1991.
