Monthly consumption spending per household Japan 2015-2024

In 2024, the consumption spending of Japanese households, including workers' and non-workers' households, amounted to about 250.9 thousand Japanese yen per month on average. Food made up the largest expense category among households. The annual average of monthly consumption expenditures of households reached a decade high, but declined by 1.6 percent in real terms.
