Investment in the limited-service hotel subsector in the United States increased substantially after plummeting in the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. In 2022, the value of limited service hotel transactions amounted to almost 29 billion U.S. dollars — the highest figure on record. In 2023, investments declined again, falling to 14 billion U.S. dollars.
