This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted between 1974 and 2017 asking university students in Japan about their previous dating experiences. In 2017, around **** percent of male and **** percent of female respondents stated to have gone on a date before, representing an all-time low during the surveyed period.
*The survey targeted students of junior high schools, high schools and universities across the country. In 2017, out of a sample size of 12,925 respondents, 4,194 were in university.
