Between 2016 and 2018, China was the main supplier of ceramic products for Italy, based on import value. According to the data provided by Prometeia, the value of ceramic products exported from China into Italy increased from 158 million euros in 2016 to 198.5 million euros in 2018. Germany and Denmark were the other major suppliers. However, the value of imports coming from those countries was much lower compared to the value of ceramic tiles imported from China.
