Italy: distribution of the value of exported leather goods 2013-2018

In 2018, Western Europe was the main destination for leather goods such as handbags and luggage exported from Italy. In fact, according to the data provided by Prometeia, the share of export value addressed to Western Europe slightly increased from 50.5 percent in 2013 to 52.8 percent in 2018. Over the period under consideration, the share of export of leather goods addressed to Asian countries was overall fixed at 28.8 percent.
