Garuda Indonesia's operating expenses FY 2014-2023

The national airline Garuda Indonesia's total operating expenses amounted to about 2.63 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, indicating a slight decrease compared to 2020. The decline was attributed to the decrease in flight operations expenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Having been very successful until the early 1990s, the airline experienced some operational and economic difficulties in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Through profound restructuring, the airline was able to regain its former strength.
