The YouTube channel with the most video views in Hungary, as of January 2023, was the children's channel "KerekMese" with over one billion video views. The channel with the second highest number of views was the music channel "Magneoton" which totalled around one billion.

What are Hungarians watching on YouTube?

Based on the leading YouTube search queries from 2021, Hungarian users primarily looked for full movies on the video sharing platform, music videos only took second place. During the same year, G.w.M was the most popular domestic music performer on YouTube in Hungary with a total number of nearly 94 million video views. By comparison, foreign musicians recorded considerably fewer views in Hungary.

How popular are online videos?

According to the findings of a survey conducted in 2021, the vast majority of internet users watched online videos. Moreover, 44 percent of the respondents stated that they watched content on free video sharing platforms on a daily basis while a further 28 percent of surveyed Hungarians did so several times a week.
