Over a million Polish citizens picked up their electronic identification cards between March 4th, when the service was first offered, and August 1st 2019. However, only some have electronically activated them. Out of Poland's sixteen voivodeships, Łódzkie had the biggest share of electronic activations (42 percent).
The highest number of applications for an eID overall was in the voivodship of Mazowieckie.
