In a survey on skincare and beauty products conducted by Rakuten Insight, as of July 2021, 46 percent of respondents in Malaysia claimed to use Korean beauty and skincare products. Korean beauty products, also known as K-beauty, has gained in popularity and market share over the years, especially in Asia. K-beauty products were perceived by Asian customers to better meet their skincare needs.
