Hydrometeorological hazards refer to hazards "of atmospheric, hydrological or oceanographic origin," such as "tropical cyclones (also known as typhoons and hurricanes); floods, including flash floods; drought; heatwaves and cold spells; and coastal storm surges" (UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction).
