In 2024, 22 percent of adult men in Brazil had started or were in the early stages of running their own businesses (first 3.5 years). Meanwhile, the early-stage entrepreneurial activity rate among Brazilian women decreased to under 19 percent. The entrepreneurial engagement gender gap decreased compared to the previous year
