The English daily newspaper, The Telegraph, had an average issue readership of over 530 thousand people across India in 2017. Notably, the readership in 2017 had dropped down to half of the readership from 2014. Growing access to digital news media along with the rise of regional language newspapers have contributed to this decline in newspaper readership.
The Telegraph was started in 1982 and is published by the Ananda Bazar Patrika (ABP).
