Global energy generation of select biomass power plants 2018

The Drax biomass power plant, located in Great Britain, powered exclusively from wood, generated approximately 48 gigawatt hours in 2018. This was enough to supply 3.4 million people in the United Kingdom with energy. Five out of six of the largest biomass power plants globally are located in Europe.
