According to data provided by the 'Digital insurance in 2018' report published by Mckinsey & Company, the value of motor insurance gross written premiums (GWP) through aggregator (comparison) companies in Germany has grown annually between 2007 and 2017. As of 2017, the estimated value of gross written premiums through comparison websites was approximately 1.2 billion euros. This was over one third of all motor vehicle GWPs written on the German motor insurance market in 2017.
