Nutritional information consumers look out for when purchasing food Malaysia 2018
According to a survey in Malaysia conducted in December 2018, 57 percent of respondents stated that they checked for the amount of sugar stated on the nutrition labels prior to purchase. Malaysia has one of the highest rates of obesity in Asia, and the government has taken measures to curb this problem such as introducing a sugar tax in 2019.
