As of the first half of 2024, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) had the highest total assets value among state-owned commercial banks in Vietnam, amounting to approximately **** billion U.S. dollars. BIDV was established in 1957 as the Bank for Construction of Vietnam and renamed in 1990.
