According to Rakuten Insight about a survey on non-alcoholic beer consumption, a majority of respondents never consumed non-alcoholic beer. Among those who always consumed it, about 11 percent of young Indians between 21 and 24 years old made up the highest consuming demographic, in terms of age.
New flagship brands from beverage giants Coca-Cola and PepsiCo were set to compete with non-alcoholic beers in the Indian urban markets in 2019. Among many reasons, this was a result of a recent decrease in the consumption of carbonated beverages as well as in alcoholic beverages.
