According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2024, around 26 percent of console gamers stated that their favorite genre of console game was simulation games. Other popular genres included sports and racing games as well as roleplaying games (RPGs). The South Korean gaming industry was worth multiple trillion South Korean won in 2022, with further growth forecast.
