According to a survey carried out in the United States in 2021, taking advantage of sales or the best deals of the season was the leading reason to shop in-store on Black Friday - about seven in ten of respondents shopped in brick-and-mortar stores for this reason. Approximately a quarter of American shoppers stated overall excitement of the day was their main reason for shopping.
