Madhya Pradesh accounted for about 113 billion Indian rupees from pulses to the Indian economy in fiscal year 2020. This value was higher compared to fiscal year 2012. Pulses contributed over five percent to the GVA of crops that same year. The central state made up over 16 percent within the pulses sector that year.
