In Belgium, one out of two sexually active women, aged 15 to 49 years old, used the birth control pill as a contraceptive method in 2018. From a regional perspective, the use of such contraception was higher in Wallonia than in Flanders. However, women living in the Brussels-Capital Region were the lowest users of the birth control pill in 2018.
