Export volume of palm oil and palm-based products from Malaysia to the EU 2014-2023

In 2023, Malaysia exported around 3.35 million metric tons of palm oil and palm-based products to the European Union. The EU was Malaysia's largest export market for palm oil and palm-based products in that year. However, plans by the European Commission to phase out the use of palm oil in transport fuel by 2030 threatens to reduce the size of this market for Malaysian palm oil in the future.
