A survey conducted between 2019 and 2020 reveals that 15.6 percent of Italians believe that the Holocaust never happened.
In October 2019, the Italian Senate voted in favor of the establishment of a special committee to combat racism, anti-Semitism, incitement to hatred, and violence. The Commission was proposed by the Senator Liliana Segre, Holocaust survivor.
