Mexico: tobacco planted area 2021, by state
In Mexico, production of tobacco takes place mainly in the coastal states of Nayarit, Veracruz, and Chiapas. In 2021, area planted with tobacco in the country amounted to approximately 7.2 thousand hectares. Nayarit was the state with the largest planted area, with more than 5.9 thousand hectares, followed by Veracruz, with one thousand hectares.
