Cigarette imports by the United States have fluctuated over the past decades. From 2001 to 2012 cigarette imports declined before turning around and averaging over 400 million U.S. dollars in trade value from 2013 to 2020. Cigarette imports declined in 2023 for the third year in a row to a low of 261.6 million dollars.
