From January to November 2024, the leading fuel type of green vehicle sales were Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV), with around ******* unit sales which accounts for around ** percent of the total green vehicle sales volume of domestic brands. In 2019, the sales volume of green vehicles of domestic brands in South Korea exceeded 100,000 for the first time.
In South Korea, the number of people who choose eco-friendly cars is steadily increasing due to the change in the public's awareness of fuel efficiency, the government's policy to expand eco-friendly hydrogen and hydrogen stations, and air pollution.
