Credit cards and debit cards per capita in Ireland 2000-2023

Credit cards per capita in the Republic of Ireland decreased to reach a value of less than 0.5 cards per person in 2021. On the other hand, debit cards were more popular in the country, as debit card penetration reached roughly 1.5 per person that year. By 2023, it exceeded two cards per capita.
