Credit cards and debit cards per capita in Poland 2000-2023

The number of credit cards per capita in Poland went down from roughly 0.3 in 2010 to around 0.15 at the end of 2023. Debit cards were found more often in the country, as the number per capita of these cards was higher than one in 2023. The numbers provided are estimates, based on the figures central banks have to supply. Owning a payment card does not immediately indicate it gets used frequently, as there are large differences within Europe when it comes to the use of certain payment methods.
