March Madness is a single elimination contest for NCAA basketball teams. The tournament takes place each spring and is one of the most popular sporting events in the United States. A record 149 points were scored in a single March Madness game by LMU against Michigan in the second round of the 1990 tournament, which was the most of any team in the competition's history as of 2024.
