Most popular videos on YG Entertainment YouTube channel 2025

As of January 2025, the most popular video on YG Entertainment's YouTube channel was the official music video of its boy group BIGBANG's "HARU HARU", with around 204 million views. Artist BIGBANG alongside two of their members, G-Dragon and Taeyang, dominated YG's official YouTube channel viewership numbers, while popular girl group BLACKPINK’s separate YouTube channel also has millions of subscribers and billions of views.

K-pop legends BIGBANG

BIGBANG is a three-member boy group that debuted in 2006 during the so-called second generation of K-pop. The group, as well as some of its members individually are considered among the most influential musicians both domestically and across Asia. "HARU HARU" is one of their most famous songs, and was released as part of their Japanese promotions. It is standard practice to have an official Japanese debut a few months or years after first debuting in South Korea. In 2023, YG Entertainment’s sales revenue in Japan amounted to about 55.3 billion South Korean won.

The new generation of YG Entertainment

While BIGBANG reigned as kings of the K-pop scene for many years, the company has since debuted several more successful acts. Their four-member girl group BLACKPINK debuted in 2016 and quickly became one of the best-selling female K-pop acts over the past decade, having sold around 6.2 million album copies as of 2023. While all members have since left the agency to continue their solo activities elsewhere, the group itself is still under contract for future promotions together.
