COVID-19: U.S. public opinion on going to the gym as of April 2020, by ethnicity

The COVID-19 pandemic that spread across the world at the beginning of 2020 was not only a big threat to public health, but also to the entire sports industry. Many professional and amateur leagues and events were canceled and the public was advised to not spend time in large groups or in public areas. During an April 2020 survey in the United States, 69 percent of African American respondents stated that they were much less likely to go to the gym based on what they knew about the coronavirus.
