Fisher & Paykel Healthcare has had eight respiratory devices approved between 2014 and March 2020 which could potentially be modified for ventilators through an Emergency Use Authorization. Due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) some hospitals already lack medical ventilators for patients in intensive care. One way to lower the burden is to modify other respiratory devices for ventilators.
