By 28 May 2020, more than 425 thousand employment contracts had been ended due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in Romania. Most of the agreements that were terminated concerned the manufacturing sector, with a total of 76,543 employment contracts. However, this also applied to industries such as automotive and construction.
