From a list of the most popular and performing fashion e-commerce apps in France in 2018, the source has measured which of these websites had the best perfomance in terms of energy consumption, measured in milliampere hour (mAh). A typical customer journey was measured, taking into account the different stages of activity: During the launch of the app, Sarenza had the lowest levels with **** mAh. During the user authentication and product search phase, MonShowRoom had the lowest mAh levels of **** and ****. When consulting the shopping basket, ShowRoomPrivé had the lowest value of **** mAh. Finally, the delivery tracking consumed about **** mAh for Galeries Lafayettes. The active and inactive forefront and background represent the background or front activity that run parallel with the app. Here, BrandAlley had the lowest levels of mAh (****) in the inactive forefront and Zara, Vente-Privee and Spartoo had the lowest mAh levels for the inactive background (0.3).
The source adds the following information :
"The measurements were carried out on the basis of a standardized protocol: Measurements were performed on a Nexus 6 thanks with the Greenspector Free Runner Test, an application directly installed on the smartphone, allowing consumption tests to be carried out".
The source has selected the top 16 applications of the major players in fashion e-commerce in France: Amazon, ASOS, BrandAlley, Galeries Lafayette, H&M, Kiabi, La Halle, La Redoute,Monshowroom, Sarenza, Showroom Privé, Spartoo, Vente Privée, Wish, Zalando and Zara.
