From a list of the most popular and performing urban transport applications in France in 2018, the source has measured which of these apps had the highest and the lowest energy consumption rate, measured in milliampere hour (mAh). RTM (Marseille) ranked in first, with **** mAh, followed by Tisséo (Toulouse) with **** mAh and Tan (Toulouse) with **** mAh.
The source has also analyzed the battery consumption of the different stages of a typical user parcour on transport apps. Tisséo (Toulouse) had the lowest mAh levels during the launch of the app.
The source adds the following information :
"The measurements were carried out on the basis of a standardized protocol: Measurements were performed on a Nexus 6 thanks with the Greenspector Free Runner Test, an application directly installed on the smartphone, allowing consumption tests to be carried out".".
The source has selected the top 10 applications among the 10 largest cities in France: RATP (Paris, Île-de-France), Tan (Nantes), TBM (Bordeaux), RTM (Marseille), Tisséo (Toulouse), TCL (Lyon), Transpole (Lille, Lignes d’Azur (Nice), TaM (Montpellier), STAR (Rennes)
