Global growth in finance app usage during COVID-19 2020

According to Payments Cards & Mobile , the average weekly usage of fintech apps in Japan went up by 55 percent between December 29, 2019 to March 1, 2020, which coincides with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. On the contrary, Spain and France saw no growth in the average weekly time spent on finance apps during the same period.
