According to a survey carried out in 2025, the leading reason for not opening a digital-only bank account to their current bank is high customer satisfaction. Over 20 percent of the respondents indicated that their current bank had always treated them well. A little over 15 percent of respondents indicated that they prefer to speak to someone in person, and over one in 10 traditional bank account holders were concerned about fraud or cybersecurity breaches.
