The most significant increase in the volume of retail trade among Central and Eastern European countries was recorded in Slovakia, where sales (excluding motorization, fixed prices, and calendar-adjusted data) increased by 10 percent year-on-year in December 2024. In the European Union, retail sales increased by two percent during this period.
