During 2019, more than half a million second homes were bought in Spain. Andalusia was Spain's autonomous community where the highest number of these type of homes were purchased, with approximately 108 thousand homes during the year under review.
Ceuta and Melilla registered the purchase of about 1.2 thousand second homes in 2019, of which 1.18 thousand were bought by residents of this region. The autonomous community of origin of the highest number of homebuyers other than Ceutans and Melillans was the Andalusia, which bought fifteen second homes that year.
