According to a survey in June 2020, a slim majority of Republicans - 52 percent - either strongly or somewhat approve of the Supreme Court's decision that Title VII prohibits discrimination against workers because of their sexual orientation or transgender status, meaning LGBTQ workers can no longer be fired for their sexual orientation or transgender status. This compares to 34 percent of Republican respondents who either somewhat or strongly disapproved of the decision.
