The outbreak of coronavirus at the beginning of 2020 boosted fresh produce e-commerce in China. Owing to the prevalence of smartphones and China’s well-developed logistics system, urban consumers could receive the ingredients they want in a short time, without exposing themselves to the risk of being infected in the supermarket. The online-to-offline fresh goods delivery market in China was predicted to reach nearly *** billion yuan by the end of 2020.
Online beverage delivery
While Starbucks celebrated the opening of its *****th store in China, more than ******* bubble tea outlets have already occupied streets and alleys in China’s major cities. Topped with creamy cheese or infused with fresh fruits, the new-style bubble tea grew increasingly popular among Chinese consumers, especially Generation Z. The craze was unprecedented, and queuing for hours before receiving an order was not a rare experience for bubble tea lovers in China. For those who wish to avoid the queues, an increasing number of consumers have also gone online to get their bubble tea fix.
