In 2024, the real value added by the IT sector to the gross regional product of Beijing municipality in China grew by around 11 percent and amounted to approximately 1.1 trillion yuan. Due to the lifting of all restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic at the end of 2022, the value added by the hotel and catering sector increased by about 21.1 percent in 2023.
