Leading banks by social media audience in Chile 2020
In May 2020, BBVA had over 5.55 million followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in Chile. Originally, BBVA was the Chilean operation of the Spanish Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria. In 2018, Chile's BBVA was fully acquired by Toronto-based Bank of Nova Scotia, which also owns Chile's Scotiabank, which in turn ranked sixth in terms of social media audience with almost 428 thousand followers.
