Prevalence of cataract in Belgium 1997-2018, by gender
From 1997 to 2018, the prevalence of cataract increased in Belgium. The share of men who suffer from cataracts increased by two percent, while the prevalence of cataract in Belgian women increased by 2.3 percent. In 2018, 2.8 percent of Belgian men suffered from cataracts for 4.1 percent of Belgian women.
