According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Singapore approximately 54 percent of the respondents aged 55 years old and older that they ordered food from food delivery apps more often during the COVID-19 outbreak because Singapore had imposed a closure of all restaurants and dining establishments. 15 percent of the respondents aged between 16 and 24 years old said the reason why they used food delivery apps more was because they could not cook. The same survey showed that Singaporeans mainly ordered dinner on food delivery apps.
