The gross gaming revenue (GGR), for instance, rose by **** percent over the previous year, totaling nearly **** billion euros. Despite a sharp annual increase, GGR, total win amount, and the amount wagered in the retail segment remained below pre-pandemic levels. On the other hand, the amount wagered, the total win amount, and GGR in the online gambling market in Italy peaked in 2022.
