The highest capacity of both planned and committed solar projects in West Africa was recorded by Burkina Faso (147 MW), and this was followed by Benin, which had 40 MW of solar project capacity in the pipeline out of the 135 MW of planned ones. Furthermore, Senegal registered no committed project capacity out of the 130 MW of planned ones.
Overall, the region was estimated to have a potential for solar project installations.
