Impact of COVID-19 crisis on return time offered in e-commerce France 2020

The e-commerce business has been on the rise in the past years, due to the gradual digitization of every day activities. Many marketers have forecasted the growth of e-commerce, and with the coronavirus outbreak, issues with proximity shopping have led to a strong acceleration of that said development. The source had asked online retailers as well as pure players in France in March 2020 what their return time offer was in the COVID-19 crisis. In order to take into account the containment period, more than half of the sites have extended the return period. About 30 percent of them offered the possibility to return the product within 30 to 60 days instead of the usual 14 days.
