During a 2020 survey, 36 percent of responding IT managers from Brazil stated that the organization they worked for was able to stop a ransomware attack before data could be encrypted. The same statement was expressed by 19 percent of respondents from Colombia. In addition, nearly three out of ten respondents in Brazil said their organization had to pay a ransom to regain access to encrypted data after an attack.
